[Movies] MIssion Impossible IV Announced
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 02.09.2010

Paramount Pictures has announced that Mission: Impossible IV is a go. It will be produced by Tom Cruise, J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Productions, with Cruise also starring in the film. Release is set for Memorial Day weekend 2011.

Paramount Chairman and CEO Brad Grey said that "Tom and J.J. are great talents and we are excited to be working with them to re-launch this legendary franchise."

Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec are writing the script for the movie, working with an original concept from Cruise and Abrams. The hunt is on for a director.
The Mission Impossible franchise has grossed over $1.4 billion globally. Mission Impossible IV will be co-financed by David Ellison's Skydance Productions.

Sorry, hoss, but I didn't see any of them but the first one, which I thought was pretty bad.

Hey, thats pretty cool news. Abrams flick was the best film in the series, and Cruise was terrific in it. Hopefully they can do the same quality one more time.
Has to be better than John Woo's script-free 2000 snoozer anyway!
